How does the FGD system work? Doesn’t it discharge environmentally damaging heavy metals?

⦁ Seawater will be used as a scrubber agent. Oxide of sulfer will be transformed to bi-sulfer (HSO-4) which is normally available as a component of seawater. There will be no heavy metal from the FGD process.
