Water Management at BLCP Power Plant
For sustainability, the power plant employs efficient water management approaches as follows:
Treated Wastewater
The power plant reuses up to 1,500 m³/day of water that has been treated to meet the quality standards suitable for system operations.
Freshwater from the Industrial Estate
Receives water from the Dok Krai and Nong Pla Lai reservoirs through pipeline systems, using approximately 700 m³/day of freshwater, divided into
- ► 300 m³/day for office consumption and domestic use
- ► 2,100 m³/day for electricity generation processes and dust control from coal yards and ash systems
Seawater Desalination System (Reverse Osmosis)
The power plant has also installed a seawater desalination system using Reverse Osmosis, with a production capacity of up to 4,000 m³/day. This system can replace all raw water sources in case of water shortage or drought, helping the power plant operate continuously and reliably in all situations.
