BLCP wins The Prime Minister's Industry Award 2025 in the 'Safety Management Category', moving towards ESG power plant standards and driving the Thai economy sustainably.
Amidst the challenges of energy transition and growing awareness of sustainability, BLCP Power Limited (BLCP) has once again demonstrated that electricity generation to power the nation can be perfectly combined with caring for 'people' and the 'environment'. Most recently, it received the national award, The Prime Minister’s Industry Award 2025, reinforcing its status as a model power plant for sustainability.
On August 10, 2569, at the Grand Ballroom, Miracle Grand Convention Hotel, Mr. Yuthana Charoenwong, Managing Director of BLCP Power Limited (BLCP), received the prestigious award of the Thai industrial sector, The Prime Minister’s Industry Award 2025 (for the year 2568), in the Safety Management Category. The award was presented by Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Industry.
This achievement is not a coincidence, but rather the result of a deep-rooted commitment within BLCP's DNA, driven by an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) core, which not only focuses on production capacity figures to meet national demand, but also places immense importance on the lives of 'people' and the integrity of the 'environment', which are crucial pieces of true sustainability.
Winning the safety award this year reaffirms BLCP's excellent and consistent operational standards and positions the company as "the first power plant in the Eastern region" to have won The Prime Minister's Industry Award in three different categories, reflecting comprehensive governance in all dimensions, namely:
• Environmental Dimension: Received the award in the Environmental Quality Preservation Category (Year 2542)
• Social Dimension: Received the award in the Social Responsibility Category (Year 2566)
• Governance and Management Dimension: Received the award in the Safety Management Category (Year 2555 and most recently in Year 2568)
For The Prime Minister’s Industry Award 2025 stage, which involved a rigorous and transparent selection process resulting in 40 model organizations out of 162 nationwide, Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Industry, emphasized the "ONE MIND" vision aiming to unite all sectors to enhance the capabilities of Thai industry to grow alongside communities, society, and the environment.
This achievement by BLCP concretely reflects the Ministry's "MIND" policy (Good Industry, Living Sustainably with Communities), as BLCP has demonstrated that the highest level of safety management can seamlessly go hand-in-hand with caring for people and the environment, making BLCP a perfect 'model organization' in both innovation and governance, ready to share knowledge and inspire other businesses to collectively transform the Thai economy towards global sustainability.
