On March 18, 2563, BLCP Power Station collaborated with Mr. Nirut Duangprasert, Vice Chairman of the Maptaphut Municipal Council, and Mrs. Prakong Kerdmongkol, Chairwoman of the Mab Chalood Community Fabric Products Enterprise, to launch the project "Washable Fabric Masks: Made with Heart, Caring for Society" to produce and distribute fabric masks to essential and underserved organizations.
Due to the ongoing increase in COVID-19 infections, BLCP Power Station collaborated with local government agencies and community enterprises, namely, Mab Chalood Community Fabric Products Enterprise, Ban Chabub Community Fabric Sewing Group Enterprise, Koh Kok Public Health Volunteers (Or Sor Mor), and Ban Payoon Small Fishing Boat Laundry Service Group Enterprise, to accelerate the production of fabric masks.
The fabric used for mask production is standard-certified from Thai Thep PP Co., Ltd., which has been certified by BTTG, England, and Unitika, Japan, that it can be washed up to 50 times, ensuring the fabric masks are safe and reusable.
Additionally, BLCP Power Station provided instructors to teach mask-making to participating community enterprises and also taught washing and ironing methods at 60 degrees Celsius to the Ban Payoon Small Fishing Boat Laundry Service Group Enterprise to ensure the fabric masks are clean and hygienic.
BLCP Power Station is confident that the produced fabric masks are safe and ready for use and will be continuously donated to public organizations. We extend our gratitude to all sectors for their cooperation. This project also generates income for community enterprises.
The activity photos show executives and community representatives jointly launching the project, along with images of fabric mask production by community women diligently sewing masks. Full details are in the attached file.
