BLCP Power operates its business in accordance with the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). BLCP Power is committed to contribute to maintaining the environmental and social wellbeing of surrounding communities and stakeholders. This wellbeing is based on trust and mutual respect and the creation of a corporate culture to achieve these aims.

 

There are seven main principles of our CSR Policy for which we have assigned to guide our progress: 

  

1. Organizational Governance – BLCP Power fully commits itself to being a role model for all coal-fired power plants in Thailand. We will achieve this by strengthening our shareholders and stakeholders trust, enhancing corporate values, and sustaining long term growth. We believe this to be achievable and sustainable by conducting our affairs within a framework of sound Corporate Governance. Furthermore, we believe that the best international and ethical practices ultimately benefit our society and country.

 

2. Human Rights - It is a fundamental value of BLCP Power to give respect to the basic human rights: we advocate non-discrimination, encourage diversity of values and promote equal opportunities.

 

3. Labor Practices – Ensure that conditions of employment meet or where possible exceed Thai industry those required by Thai legislation. We commit to maintaining the highest standards of occupational health and safety, thereby creating a work environment that is healthy and safe for all.

 

4. The Environment – BLCP Power has clear environmental policies which we strictly comply with in order to preserve the eco-system for surrounding communities and minimize the environmental impact of our business activities.

 

5. Fair Operating Practices - Ensure fairness and integrity in our dealings with others  by placing the highest priority on legal/regulatory compliance, freedom from corruption and neutrality in political issues.

 

6. Customer & Supplier Relations - Strive to enhance our performance so that we exceed  their expectations creating sustainable and worthwhile relationships.

 

7. Community Involvement and Development – BLCP Power assesses local needs and promotes the improvement of the educational, cultural and social development of our neighbours. Enhancing the quality of their lives. Besides, we will encourage and support our employees’ engagement in volunteering and working with the local communities.

 

We are pleased to obtain any comment and feedback of stakeholders and will consider their suggestions for future actions.
